What a month for Photography....What a Photographer ;o)

I should have posted this in October but October was a sad month as I lost my Uncle within a few months of losing my Nan. Before we knew about it I had been celebrating the win of 4 Bronze awards, awarded by SWPP - you can see the images here . Well this month I've managed to gain 6 more Bronzes. here I'm desperate for a Silver (Gold's a wee while off yet - but I'll get there!). Been exciting. I've also had a booking for a wedding in 2012! Haven't met the couple yet so I'm delighted that they have chosen me :O) Looking forward to it. Had a lovely wedding with Stuart and Susan last Saturday.. they married abroad and then had a blessing over here with all their family and friends. Just finished putting their images online yesterday - hope they like them.. most nerve racking thing waiting to hear! lol

It's NEARLY... C H R I S T M A S!!!!

Oh no.. that time of year! Well some of you have had images done already so instead of booking another session feel free to buy the pack from one of your past images by me :O) Failing that I'm still taking bookings for portrait sessions.

The Art of Boudoir

Had the most amazing experience with John Denton, fellow photographer who was running a course on the Art of Boudoir on behalf of the SWPP. An incredible learning experience that I hope to take in the knowledge and improve on my skills. Can't wait till the future course in October now! If you would like to see the images they are on the website.

The delightful baby Daisy!

Had the pleasure to photograph the neice of a friend of mine :O) She was a wonderful model. Obviously down to Heather (mum) :O) to the little dancing feet.....

Now a member of the SWPP - Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers

Just joined this society, to learn more and improve on my skills. I've now got several images in for competitions so we'll see how I do!

Vouchers

Finally made new vouchers, for portraits, weddings and pets :O) If you would like to purchase one you can set a certain amount or buy a certain type of product :O)

Congrulations to Hannah & Stu :O)

I think I enjoyed the day as much as you guys! Amazing details in your wedding. Hannah's dad's speach has to be the best speach I've heard! Full of fun, emotion and cheek ;o) To see the film of Hannah and Stu in the early years was wonderful. Everyone watched on in great delight! You did very well in keeping everyone wanting more! I think Stu's brother Michael certainly did an awesome job too though! A very special day indeed. I also managed to stop traffic.. to get everyone across the street safely.. there were plenty to get across! Hannah was ever the radiant bride, she was beautiful! Stunning dress, Stu certainly looked in awe! All the very best for your future together and I look forward to photographing other events in your life ;o)

Photo shoot FUN!

Well most recently I've been doing more weddings than anything else... among a few portrait sessions. Which has been great! A couple of weeks ago I was asked to photograph some models for a brochure for a new business in the area. It was great fun. Client is starting a massage and reiki business. Does lots of things from full body massage to the Hot Stones, to Ear waxing.. I've included a couple of pics to show you. If you want Shona's details please just ask. Once she has a website I'll put up a link to it :O)

First Exhibition since the college days!

Well I'm excited to tell you that I've just organised items to display in a cafe exhibition in Perth's Cosmos Cafe in the High Street. I'm just waiting to hear when the open evening will be and hopefully plenty of you will be able to come and have a look :O) More details will follow. Items should all now be on the walls. Hope you like them :O)

Ruth and Craig's Wedding, 5th July

I had the privilage of photographing Ruth and Craig's wedding at Forter Castle. An elegant wedding with 17 guests in total. It was a beautiful day (in between little showers), bride and groom arrived after me along with all the family. Best Man was Jura, Ruth's dog. The ceremony took place in the little chappel which was tight but ample room for us to feel cosy! When the first song was sung... the best man sang aloud! Much to the amusement of everyone else! That way - twittering all around.. then the minister laughed which made it ok for us all to do the same! Beautiful service and everything about the day went well. Here's some of the images I took on the day.... After being up till 4am editing this morning to enable me to get everything online for Ruth and Craig to see before I go on holiday... I'm well ready for my bed tonight!

WOOOOO HOOOO captured LIGHTNING!!!!

Ok it's not a brilliant photo but after years of trying I managed a little one!

Wonderful compliments :O)

Had to share this wee note from one of my past clients :O)

No rest for the wicked!

Well I've had a number of projects on, Portraits in the Park, Afterschool Club fundraiser, School fundraiser, weddings and meetings with prospective brides and grooms along with another couple of boudoir shoots! Wedding this Saturday in Edinburgh, then a baby shoot on Monday morning :O) Here's a few from the past couple of weeks :-

BSOC Fundraiser

Well last Sunday was BSOC (afterschool club) fundraiser. I awoke to the birds chattering.. looking out the window a fine misty air.. oh dear we have a photo shoot today! Well I was extremely lucky! The photo shoot went a head and right down to the last one we managed! The last family arrived just as it started to rain - their brollies were up as they made their way across the field... oh dear! I said hopefully we'll be fine for a bit under the trees then a few out in the field and dash for cover! We made it!!! A few from the day to share :O)

Busy Week....

Well with Portraits in the Park a bit all over the place this year we're just about there in getting everyone sorted out with their photo sessions. After a fun day on Sunday past having to relocate due to rain... amazing that Bankfoot was fine! Here's a few images from the weekend and also some from Monday when I met up with Heather to do some images along with some swans! Two cheeky boys! Mandy and Ronnie and their children Jordan and Daisy Heather Swanning around!

DAY OFF!

What a day - I managed to get a day off! Course with work was cancelled today and no images from PITP to edit. BTW PITP has been rescheduled for 30th May! Decided to take the dog for a walk around the local bluebell wood. It was gorgeous :O)

Highs and Lows of this weekend!

Well what a beautiful wedding yesterday with Catherine and Richard. A truely beautiful day. Catherine was busy ironing Richards shirt when I arrived - I said that her marital duties were starting early she replied "they started years ago!" Well the sun blessed us with its presence all day and evening. I had a wonderful time sharing their special day was even fed cucumber sandwiches on the patio. A proper summer garden party! This image is of Catherine and Richards wedding rings. Tied to the Owl and the Pussycat book for their wee boy Will to look after :O) I found this amazing place with the reflection of the old ruin of Creich Castle and had to capture it :O) Catherine and Richard signing the register..... On the low side of the weekend I had to cancel Portraits in the Park due to weather conditions - raining was soooo full on that a couple cancelled and I decided to take a rain check on the rest - WE WILL rebook shortly :O) xx
